Dry, fresh aromas of red fruits set up a tight, sinewy palate with little to no fat. Direct, hard-hitting flavors of cherry and berry fruits are what they are. Overall, this is a forward wine with low amounts of spice and complexity.
Cabernet Sauvignon is grown almost everywhere in the world, but despite this it seems to have become synonymous with California. And while California makes some excellent expressions of this grape, don’t let that keep you from exploring other regions. Today for example we have an excellent example of Cabernet from the land of Malbec — Mendoza, Argentina.
An intense colour is apprecoted, with purple and bright hues. It exhibits scents of red and ripe fruits such as cherries and plums, enriched by delicate chocolate and vanilla contributed by the keeping in wood. Of a sound velvet and tannin structure, elegant as well, which give a long final mouth tasting.
Bright, intense red color. On the nose, it is very elegant and delicate and offers jammy aromas and also red fruits like plums and cherries. An excellent assemblage is achieved by the aromas of chocolate, smoke and tobacco. In the mouth, it is intense and complex with a long persistence, sweet and round tannins, and pleasing textures.

In the mid Uco Valley county of Tunuyan, the Andes mountains kick in to east, bringing them much closer to the vineyards. At 4,000 ‘ elevation lies the district of Los Chacayes which boasts very rock, limestone rich soils. This soil profile produces Malbec with delicate floral aromas, deep blue fruit flavours and a salty mineralogy. The wine is co-fermented with 10-12% Cabernet Franc for additional complexity.
The Uco Valley is located 30 miles to the south, southwest of the city of Mendoza. Altitudes range from 3,700’ to 5,000’ elevation. The Uco Valley has a shallow soil profile with a sandy – silt texture. This soil profile produces Malbecs with intense floral aromatics, dark fruit flavors, rich texture and a bright, fresh finish – mountain soil Malbec.
