Pale greenish straw in colour. Rich aromatics of fresh lime juice, lemongrass, grilled citrus and ripe nectarine. Complex and intriguing. The palate is concentrated and dense, yet retains remarkable linearity and focus. Zesty citrus, stone fruit, herb and floral flavours fill the mouth, a fine chalky mineral texture tightens and focuses the finish. The wine finishes long and powerful, crisp, clean and dry.
Vibrant red fruit aromas with some spicy vanilla, cinnamon and savoury, earthy notes. The vibrancy carries through to the palate where succulent fruit weight is complemented by soft, round tannin and a long, dry, flavorsome finish
Hues of pale straw sparkle in the glass with lively Sauvignon Blanc aromas of citrus pineapple and a hint of passionfruit. The palate is fruit driven with lovely citrus and tropical flavours producing a long clean finish which is fresh and crisp. Fabulous for any occasion.
A great value Sauvignon Blanc from Giesen, a family winery still owned and run by the three brothers who founded it. This wine comes from 47 different vineyard sites in the Wairau Valley, cultivated by partner growers but vinified at Giesen's winery. Typically vibrant, citrussy and herbal Marlborough Sauvignon, with kaffir lime and blackcurrant leaf notes against a backdrop of grapefruit and tropical fruit flavours. Dry and mouthwatering. Drink with freshly prepared cold seafood dishes.
Foods - Seafood pairs well, but for something a little different, try pasta with Pesto Genovese. Nose - Grapefruit peel, with herbal, thyme-like aromas. Subtle mineralstone complexities complete the picture and add interest. Palate -Yellow citrus fruit, with fresh green herbs, redcurrant and red capsicum. The wine is dry, but not austere, with a generous mouthfeel.
Hailing from Marlborough, it shows loads of fleshy, spiced plum fruits on the nose with a hint of roses. The palate is medium-bodied, soft and smooth with bright red fruits, approachable acidity and mellow tannins. It's a 'drink now' proposition that gives immediate pleasure at an everyday price, and is highly slurpable.
Fruit for this wine was sourced from vineyards across the Marlborough region in the Wairau and Awatere valleys spanning a range of different meso-climates.
