LE GRAND NOIR CABERNET SYRAH
Like its white sibling, Le Piano et la Clarinette, Chardonnay-Viognier, this is a blend of two noble grapes-aritos-that work in perfect harmony. The blackcurrant and bell pepper flavours of the Cabernet Sauvignon, marry perfectly with the spicy, blackberryish Syrah. When we pioneered the style – selecting grapes from some very special vineyards in our corner of Southern France – our neighbours said we were crazy. But we never follow the herd.
