Gewürztraminer can trace its lineage to Alsace, and is the second most planted variety in the region. Located on the northeast France border next to Germany, Alsace is cradled in the shadow of the Vosges Mountain range, just west of the Rhine River.Gewürztraminer is an aromatic grape which produces wines that typically showcase exotic fruits notes like lychee, star fruit, passion fruit, and man.
