Laphroaig Quarter Cask offers an irresistible doubling of flavour, due to the double maturation in two barrels made of American oak.On the nose the sensation is toffee and caramel, caused by the vanillas and tannin of the American oak, plus a dryness from the wood oil. Formerly known as Fine Oak, Triple Cask is part of the 2018 relaunch of the Macallan range. This has been aged for a total of 12 years in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks.. Spicy oak and golden malt lend a good balance to the sweet opening notes. The palate is soft, with Medium, balanced with fruit, oak and spices, rich and sweet with plump raisins.
